The Hazzah

The Hazzah’s music is a reflection of the warm comfort and existential freedom experienced through a smoke break during a long road trip. Refining their post-psychedelic roots for their debut album ‘POST’, The Hazzah’s songs gradually became  louder, deeper and shorter. The scuzzy sounds and words draw influences from bands like Black Lips, The Rolling Stones, Ty Segall and Tomorrows Tulips.

The Hazzah’s debut album ‘POST’ was released on Mink Records on March 16th, 2019. Recorded over the summer of 2018, POST came into being in recording spaces varying from high-end studios like Wisseloord in Hilversum, to a DIY temporary self-built studio in the headquarters of a scouting group in the North of Holland.

Backed by acclaimed Dutch live agency Friendly Fire, The Hazzah toured extensively throughout the Netherlands and France, performing at festivals like Le Mini Who, Dutch Design Week, Life I Live, Crossing Border and Paaspop, and supporting acts like Mattiel (CA), Pale Waves (UK), Alex Lahey (AU), St. Tropez (NL), CFM (VS), Hallo Venray (NL), Equal Idiots (BE), The Glücks (BE), Phobophobes (UK).

The Hazzah performed a live session at 3FM radio, in advance of the release of their two singles ‘I’m Your Man/Spend It All’. The tracks were included in playlists by Spotify, including ‘New Alternative’, and a video for ‘Spend It All’ was released by Noisey/Vice, while the video for I’m Your Man was featured on visual tastemaker blog Booooooom TV.

‘POST’ is available digitally and on 12” vinyl in record stores and in our webshop.
